joining the church

Joining FCPC is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

One - Let Max, Darryl or Lyn know of your desire to join. You may also mark "desire to join the church" on the fellowship pad passed during the worship service.

Two - The Witness Committee Moderator will call and arrange for your meeting with the session on the fourth Sunday of the month. At that meeting, you will either affirm your faith or reaffirm your faith by answering the baptismal questions:

  • Do you confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour?
  • Do you confess yourself a sinner in need of God's grace?
  • Do you promise to be a faithful and reliable member of Christ's Church?

    • With that public declaration of faith and approval by the session, you are a new member.

    Three - On a Sunday following your meeting with the Session, you will be introduced to the congregation as its newest member. Congratulations! We are excited to have you.
