Threads of Hope Update

By Joe and Linda Schnorr

With the kids out of school for the holidays and the moms getting things in order for the holidays, organized classes have been difficult so most of the time has been spent visiting those ladies who do not attend the group classes but make their contributions from home.  At the present time 6 ladies sew at home – in Santa Elena, Unitedville, Belmopan and San Ignacio. Here are a couple of the ladies.

couple weeks ago we heard of two churches in Buena Vista who wanted to have window treatments in their churches but were unable to afford the fabric. Included in the shipment of fabric made from the States we were able to find enough fabric to satisfy both churches. With the help of the Buena Vista group and ladies from these churches they now have some beautiful treatments on their windows.

Threads of Hope continues to assist Hope for Life in their efforts to support the pregnancy center. Both Los Tambos and Buena Vista groups fabricate gowns, blankets and bags for them.  This week we will deliver approximately 75 blankets to the center for distribution. At the present time Hope for Life cares for close to 200 ladies from prenatal to up to two years after birth. We are proud to be a part of this ministry.

The reconstruction of the Los Tambos school to serve both as a school and hurricane shelter has left the need for quite a few projects.  New storage racks and rebuilding the outdoor sinks are just a couple. We continue to work on those projects and add others to the list.

Once again, we thank you for your continued prayers and support!
