We are a little late with the update – – a slight computer glitch has been resolved and we are back on track. All is well here and we are looking forward to the warmer temperatures that are ahead of us. Evenings have dipped into the low 50s and Belize is not used to those temps!!
This week marks our 10 week point with 7 weeks remaining. All the sewing centers and the ladies sewing from home are in full sewing mode and having a good time.
Los Tambos –
Measurements have been completed for trousers, skirts, blouses and shirts for 85 students. Fabric and supplies have all been received and the girls sewing at the school are well into this years projects with Brenda and Daisy able to help from home.

Buena Vista –

The girls is Buena Vista have been splitting their time between supporting the needs of Hope For Life Pregnancy Center in both Belmopan and the new location in Indian Creek this year. They continue to provide gowns, bags and blankets for Hope for Life and have taken a real interest in an all new project this year – roman shades. This is a totally new concept for them and all have really accepted the challenge.

Duck Run II –
Duck Run II has also continued to support Hope for life and have also shown a lot if interest and excitement for the roman shade project as well. The accuracy of measurements and pinpoint stitching have been new challenges and they all have been up to it!
This next week both Buena Vista and Duck Run II will be adding rings to their shades and mounting to boards. Should be another exciting step!
Construction and Remodeling Projects –
Usually we get involved in routine projects at the school and throughout the community. This past week we were dealt a whole new challenge . . . TOTAL SEWER FAILURE at Los Tambos School. . . . .
With the help of a couple guys from the community, we were able to remove the old system and install a complete new system with a 75 foot leach bed. SUCCESS but we don’t need

Projects everyone is working on are always interesting but almost everyone still wants to see the kids!

Time is flying by and so much yet to do – but keep us in your prayers – – –
