Youth

Youth Ministry is important at FCPC and youth will find care, support, and enriching programming from Jack Thomas and Carolyn Gahan, FCPC’s Youth Co-Directors. With multiple points of contact during the week, FCPC always welcomes new members and encourages youth to bring friends as they grow in their relationship with Christ and one another

Meeting Times

Sunday School – 9:30am – 10:20am

Sunday Evening Fellowship – 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Wednesday Evening Fellowship – 5:30pm – 7:00pm

Sunday School

Each Sunday we gather in the Youth Room (located in the Chapel Basement) at 9:30am to talk, pray, and study together. We are currently studying Faith Questions Youth Curriculum; Being Presbyterian.

Sunday Nights

On Sunday evening our fellowship continues as the youth group eat dinner together and enjoy community building at table with one another. We spend time discussing joys and concerns for the upcoming week, playing games, studying scripture, and participating in activities. Periodically, we will go off-site for fellowship activities like Top Golf, bowling, or Main Event.

Wednesday Nights

We see our Wednesday evening gathering as an oasis in our week to refill our spiritual tanks. On the nights when our church-wide program, WOW, is in session we enjoy dinner with everyone and then the youth are welcome to spend time in the youth room, learning, laughing, and fellowshipping together.

During the summer, when WOW is not meeting, dinner is still provided because we value sharing a meal with one another and then we spend time together playing games.

Retreats/Conferences/Trips

Our high school youth group participates in the Presbytery of East Tennessee’s Youth Summit each February. We also enjoy attending Montreat Youth Conference, PET Small and Mighty Youth Group outings and we plan a FCPC Youth Group outing once a month.
